Default Can I avoid AAdvantage miles expiring by using an AAdvantage credit card?

Hello. I am thinking which frequent flyer program to use. One big issue is the expiration of miles. I heard that if my aadvantage account has some kinds of activity every 18 months, the miles will not expire. So my question is if I get an aadvantage credit card and use the card to get miles, will it be considered as "activities" that keep my old miles away from expiration?

Thank you!

Don't take hearsay for an answer! Go to the company's website and check the FAQs section. You can't be the only human who's ever wondered this. Get the answer direct from the company. Otherwise, how do you know you can trust what you've heard.

i would say so, but hey what do i know??!!

it would be best to talk to someone at the customer service
of your card issuance, they usually straighten things out if i have any issues with them!!!
