How to I avoid losing money when accepting credit cards for an online business?
I am moving my business of selling mini ATV's to also include online purchasing for my customers, and I would like to accept credit cards. I am concerned however, that since the items we sell are expensive and often times our customers do not know how to operate the machinery, that the customers may receive the item and then 'stop payment' on the card and dispute the charge if they are not completely satisfied or able to operate the ATV.
Is there a fast way to accept payments online that will ensure that I do not lose money for capricious customers...or, I hate to say it... the inept...? Customers in this area tend to think that the item is 'broken' a lot of the time, when really it is something that they are doing incorrectly, and they cry for refunds before calling us to 'troubleshoot' the problem.
Is PayPal a good option for something like this?
