I was wondering if businesses are allowed to charge you a fee to process a credit card, like a $1.00 fee, etc. I understand they have to pay a fee to run them, but should they penalize their customers that prefer to use plastic? Thanks!

no they shouldnt..but some places can charge you more until it clears then that extra will be credited back. Like what the gas stations are doing.
