I am tring to get a credit card. Who should I get one from, and what kind of...

...APR should I be looking for? I never had a credit card before, and I want to build some credit for myself. I currently have a Visa Bank Of America Check Card, but that's it. I need some advise on a good start. I am also in need of advise on what a good APR is to look for, and who's got it. I will take any good solutions. Thanks.
