affect my credit? I called the 1800 number on the back of the card last nite to find out what my balance was on the card and the recording said my payment was due on 9/19. I missed it because I work quite a bit and dont think I ever got a bill. Will this adversely affect my credit? I paid them a payment right away over the phone and she told me she would take the fee off my credit card bill. What does that mean?

Actually a few things could occur; if you were over 30 days that will show up on credit and IF there was a late fee attached and it put you over your limit that also will show up on credit. Both of those factors will lower your score. If you just had a late fee and it wasn't past 30 days and it didn't over limit you; you will be ok.
