In the UK. I sent them a letter which was delivered on the 17 August.

I am yet to hear back from them. Do they always take this long to reply back?

Or is there another reason as to why they have not let me know if my appeal has been successful or not?

They definately received my letter because it was sent recorded and I have checked to see that it was received.
