How long does it take to refund my $1800 purchase to my credit card?

I used my VISA credit card and bought a laptop on Tuesday, returned it yesterday, how long should I expect for my credit to go from $1800 I owe to VISA, to $0? Just curious because I ant buy another one until it gets refunded back to my card.
