Then the bank was taken over by Bank of America who quickly put an end to that program. I have been unable to find a new credit card that will do the same thing without fees. Can anyone help me? American Express One card will automatically deposit 1 percent into a savings account, but they charge an annual fee that pretty must eats up any interest you would make with the account. Another disadvantage of American Express is that it is not accepted with as many retailers as Visa & Mastercard. Fidelity Investment has a Rewards Visa Signature Card program that lets you convert points to money in their investment account, but it is not automatic. You have to remember to manually log in and choose that reward option for your points among other options. I need something automatic, otherwise I always fail to invest.

When I use my Emigrant Direct credit card I get cash back deposited into my online savings account I have with them. The interest rate on the savings account is great, no fees or minimum balance. No annual fee for the card either.

Juniper Bank used to offer a card that deposited 1% of your charges into a 529 plan...they may have similar cards that deposit into different kinds of account.
