as long as its a legit card-yes-a lot safer then using your regular credit card or debit-once those bogus charges start at least it will be limited

As long as the online store takes Credit Cards and as long as you have the Visa or Mastercard logo then you should be fine. certain prepaid credit cards offer extra protection, just in case your info/money get stolen they will replace.
