Default Prepaid Credit Cards?

Hey, I have a prepaid credit card. You put money in it and that's all you can spend, It's a 3V card, got it on www.3v.ie I was wondering if anyone knew any similar cards in America as someone I know from the states would like one.

Thanks in advance.

maybe you should also try an secured credit card. Where prepay the money on the card while also building your credit all of the major banks have one. Bank of America, Wachovia.

What you call a prepaid credit card is actually a secured credit card, I guess. A prepaid card is a sort of debit card, when you put money on a card account and then you can spend it without carrying cash.
As for secured credit card, it is not pre-paid, as you do not use the money you install. You secure your credit with your own money, this makes the bank feel free to issue some credit to you. In case you will not be able to pay off, the bank has a right to take the money you installed.
At the site I work at, the most popular secured credit cards are by First Premier and Orchard bank.

A prepaid credit card account is opened by depositing money into that account, much in the same way you would make a deposit to open a checking or savings account. Once you have money in your account, you're issued a prepaid credit card that can be used anywhere one would use a regular credit card. The best part of the prepaid credit card is that you can charge to your heart's content and you won't be in debt. The money is yours and once it's gone, you can't spend any more until you make another deposit. There are no bills and no interest charges. It's the same principle as using a debit card linked to a savings or checking account.
If you're frustrated because a credit card is necessary to get by in today's world, but can't apply for one because of bad credit, you might consider a prepaid credit card. You'll have most of the advantages of a credit card, and you won't have to worry about interest charges. Sounds like a prepaid credit card is a pretty good deal.

Hello.

What i think.. A prepaid credit card account is opened by depositing money into that account, much in the same way you would make a deposit to open a checking or savings account.
