You can use a prepaid one to buy most things, but usually not for hotels or rental cars.

You should be able to use a prepaid one like you would a normal one, or you could probably use a debit card.

yes, if that particular pre-paid cr card doesnt have a restriction for on-line purchases, you have to consult the restrictions of the card that you have. If you try it for an online purchase and it doesnt go thru than you know you cant... Most of them do, with a few exceptions... Also, some prepaid cards want you to register the card, thus making it "able" to perform online purchases. Look at the little brochure they give you with the card.
