Default can a creditor with a judgement attach my prepaid credit card? new york state?

I want to use it to pay bills electronically, so I would be adding money to it monthly. Some of the sites where you sign up for these things want your ssn, which makes me suspicious that a creditor could attach it. If someone knows for sure, one way or another, please let me know. I'm getting a lot of answers that don't sound like anyone really knows for sure. Mostly guesses.

Good luck on them finding it in time to take the cash before you spend it. You'd have at least 30-60 days before they'd even have a clue, and that's if they were constantly checking your credit report, which is highly unlikely.

First they would have to know about it. Second, it would require a court order... which they could obtain by going to the court that issued the judgment and file to have the card attached. You would not necessarily know about the motion to have the card attached until after it was collected by the creditor. About the same day you noticed the money gone would be the day you received certified notice in the mail from the court that it had been done.
