you have to establish credit and rite away...i was amazed when i started getting pre approved credit cards at the age of 17 but it was because of my credit which i built up a good rep for. I had music cd subscriptions and magazine subscriptions which i payed promptly and had a job that paid a decent salary at my age. but salary in this situation doesnt really matter wut does matter is building your credit and fast. the US runs on this its like oil you have to have good credit for everything.

Build your credit history through paying all your bills on time. You'll need about 6-9 months to establish credit history. If you're in college, you can apply for college credit cards. They usually have interest rates through the roof, but if you're planning to pay off entire balance, it doesn't matter. You can also call up a credit card company and apply over the phone or online. Just remember that they keep track of who applies to which credit card and how often. If you apply too often, they will get suspicious.

Credit is a notion concieved by the Devil.. If you don't have any debt, don't start.. You'll get so far behind.. You'll still be paying on it when your kids graduate from high school.. If you can't afford something. Don't buy it. If you need assistance. Contact a religous institution i.e.; church, temple, mosque or shrine. Request assistance. Go to your local medical clinic and ask to sign up for medicaid. While you're there ask about food stamps. You don't want to start any kind of credit. It's the worst thing anyone could bring upon themselves.

Anytime you establish credit, make sure it's with a secured credit card (with a very low interest rate - not the introductory rate). Going to a loan shark (most title companies and "loan-r-us" type places) is not the thing to do as they will mess up your credit in a heartbeat and won't help you correct it if it's THEIR fault.
